Chế Thanh mentioned that he has a close friend who is like a younger brother, and it was this friend who helped him find a piece of land in Phú Quốc. Initially, he planned to do business there, but later decided to build a house to live with his family. His home is not only a place to live but also a place to keep many mementos from his artistic career. He carefully stores cassette tapes of his collaborations with singer Yến Khoa and takes pride in these memories. Additionally, the house has a small recording studio, making it convenient for him to work on music.
The male singer also shared that he had a period of working in TP.HCM but decided to move to Phú Quốc to seek tranquility. At the age of U.60, Chế Thanh continues to be active in the arts and accepts invitations to be a judge at music programs. He is also willing to share his experience with the younger generation of artists. Furthermore, his joy is that his daughter is pursuing artistic activities, and he has displayed the awards his daughter has won in his home.
